Are are an indigo child? What are indigo children?
Well this is my story and below you can see if you or someone you know is one.
I am an Indigo Child of an Alpha Indigo Child and this is my story – Moon Phase Mystic
“Since I was about 3 years old I started communicating with spirit, channeling strong intuition of which I was always right about and “guessing weird facts” everywhere. I always was freaked out about it until I was about 30. I accepted my abilities and channeled it for the greater being of good.
Then I found out my mom was an alpha indigo child and I myself am a gamma indigo child. Thats when everything started to make sense. Now I truly know why I can do what I do, and why it started with my mom. She used to follow the native way of healing and intuition. She and I have always been creative in the universe by making dream catchers for family and friends, following other psychics and having a greater connection with the universe and always just lucking out in life.
My mom can connect with spirit better than I but that’s because I feel deep down I would be real good at it and I don’t want to connect with anything with dark energy. So I refuse to open up to that until I am ready. I let the universe guide me in life and always act on intuition. I have always been a free soul that way and my family jokes that I’m always on a new path as an energy shifter because I just go where my intuition leads me.
I read auras. Always could. I have always seen myself as purple – indigo. My mother too. Before we ever had read about indigo children. It was our favourite colours. Every year on my moms birthday I would set out to buy her something purply-blue. This has always been with us and now we attune to it and accept it. It makes sense which provides security for us. We are grateful.“
What is an Indigo Child?
This is when the basic idea was developed by teacher and author Nancy Ann Tappe. Or perhaps, this is the first time you are hearing of it. So what is an Indigo Child? And how can you recognize one?
Indigo Children quite simply refers to gifted children who are believed to naturally possess any kind of special abilities or traits. These can range from the magical to even the supernatural.
It is believed that these children serve as a reminder for the rest of humanity, who through time has lost touch with who we truly are – one shared body of consciousness. While the rest of us pay far more attention to our thoughts as opposed to our feelings, these children know instinctively how to connect to our collective consciousness. Some have even gone as far as to say that the generations of Indigo Children are ‘The Next Step in Human Evolution’.
So why the color Indigo? This has to do with auras; In 1982, Nancy Ann Tappe published a book titled ‘Understanding Your Life Through Color’, a book focusing on the metaphysical concept of different colored auras that people can have, and what meaning each color holds. She states that during the 1960s, she noticed that many children were being born with indigo color auras.
Is it possible to spot an Indigo Child? Could you possibly be one yourself?
Here is a list of ten characteristics that Indigo Children are said to have, which can help you identify one.
1. They have a clear sense of purpose and self-confidence, which most people lack.
2. They can be strong-willed from an early age, and have their own unique way of doing even the simplest things. The rules and regulations the rest of us follow as children may seem trivial to them.
3. They can ignore what is ‘expected’ of them, preferring do their own thing. This can cause friction with parents and teachers.
4. Authority that allows no choice or input is rejected by them; therefore, it can be a challenge to parent or discipline an Indigo Child. Standard methods do not prove effective.
5. They can be incredibly empathic towards others and possess wisdom that even people twice or thrice their age cannot compare to.
6. Because of their different nature, they can be seen by family and friends as strangely anti-social. The exception is when they are with other Indigos like themselves – this is the only time they may feel understood and ‘at home.’
7. They have an amazing intuitive ability – they always seem to hear or know things that non-Indigos cannot explain.
8. They are insightful and have uniquely good ideas. They can provide simple solutions to complex problems, making them seem like “system busters.”
9. Their high intelligence quota, combined with their creative right-brain thinking, can give them a hard time in a tradition left-brain school system
10. Their brains can process information much faster than the average person. This increased energy, if not correctly balanced, makes them prone to not only anxiety and depression but also the high likelihood of being ADD and ADHD diagnosed.
What do you think? Do any of these resonate with you, your kids or someone you know?
Do you belong to one of the 5 indigo generations?
One of the most renowned researchers of this New Age phenomenon is Ms. Lori Johnson, who worked on the Indigo generations in an almost scientific manner and divided them into five categories according to the date of birth of these children.
The first generation, which was called Alpha, includes children born in the period between 1958 and 1968. The period of the awakening of the Alpha generation was from 1986 until 1996. Their aura was seen as dark blue and green with purple shades.
The aura was also under the influence of the metallic beige hue, protecting them from external attacks and excessively early showing of indigo potential. Since early childhood, the Alpha had a feeling of being different, as if they did not belong to their home, country or parents. The reasons for these differences were always vague and never provided a satisfactory explanation.
They are people born in the period between 1968 and 1978. The period of their awakening coincides, roughly, with the period between 1996 and 2006.The colors of their aura are blue – green – purple, but no longer the color of the metal shield.
A typical feature of both generations, Alpha and Beta, is that they look much younger than they actually are.
The Gamma is the third generation of Indigo children, born between 1978 and 1988. The period of intellectual awakening of these children coincides with the period between 2006 and 2016. This is the first generation with the minimum protective shield. It is usually purple with markings of ocher or a crystal color.
These children are born between 1988 and 1998. One of the characteristics of the fourth generation is the pure indigo color of the aura. The period of maturation and spiritual awakening of the delta generation coincides with the period from 2016 until 2026.
This generation is too sensitive and needs plenty of help. These people are overactive and quite extroverted. They like to show the world who they really are and often do this with great self-confidence. In their environment, they want blue and purple colors and enjoy slow music. They avoid crowded places and anything that causes nervousness.
The Delta generation usually has difficult teenage years. Many of these kids think that something is wrong with them, they may dabble with drugs or have suicidal tendencies. The best remedy for them is Nature.
Children born between 1998 and 2008 belong to the so-called Omega indigo generation. Supposedly this is the last “pure” indigo generation. This generation will experience the “Dark Night of Awakening” from 2026 until 2036.
Children born in the Delta and Omega period, are also called Crystal Children because of a particularly bright, crystal color in their aura.
These children are particularly vulnerable to various dermatology problems, allergies, and diseases (especially to those of upper respiratory tract due to high environmental pollution). Also, a large proportion of them are characterized as autistic or suffers from the Asperger syndrome. Autism in children is a way of self-protection from attack and neurosis of the outside world.
The Awakening of Indigo
For each of the indigo generations, the process of awakening begins around the age of 28-29 years and lasts about 7.5 years. The “Dark Night of Awakening” is a period that can be particularly difficult because it is the final return of an indigo person to their mission in this life. This period is full of different problems and various difficult challenges.
In the mature age (37 – 39), the recovery and prosperity of psychic abilities begins.Until then, this person had enough time to finally learn to trust their psychic powers without being startled or trying to share their experiences with others.
These internal experiences may include: having a clear insight, direction and possible internal communication with the spirit world; the ability to read thoughts, feelings, and intentions of others; understanding the parallel levels of reality; a true insight into the nature of time.
Maybe you are an indigo child, or adult who realizes this may have been your destination. You may not have realized the awakening as it was happening. Maybe you just know someone who is part of the Indigo generations. Whatever the case, this may be the real reason you or someone you love feels different. After all, it’s the unique qualities of these individuals that proclaim who they really are.
